📖 Episode 2 Recap
Episode 2 opens immediately where Episode 1 left off: Ingrid is rushed to the hospital after being shot by Luther. She undergoes emergency surgery and is placed in the ICU, where she remains in a coma.
We learn that Luther was also shot, and the person who fired the shot was Cornelius. Detectives Isaac and Ruby arrive at the hospital and begin questioning Simon, pressing him on why he returned to the crime scene and who shot Luther. Simon knows Cornelius is responsible but deliberately withholds the information.
Isaac informs Simon that a positive identification is required and reveals that Luther is hospitalized. When Simon later confronts Luther in his hospital room, Luther appears shocked to see him and indirectly confesses to shooting Ingrid.
Meanwhile, Simon confides in Yvonne, expressing his urgency to find Rocco in hopes of locating Paige.
On a separate track, Elena meets with Sebastian, the father of the missing man Henry. Through her investigation, Elena discovers a connection between Henry and Paige and questions Sebastian about whether he knew her. While digging deeper, Elena sees the viral video of Simon beating Aaron and realizes Simon is Paige’s father — confirming that these storylines are intersecting.
Back with the family, Sam sells Paige’s guitar to a man who claims he wants it for music. Instead, the man smashes the guitar and livestreams the act, a disturbing moment that underscores the cruelty surrounding Paige’s disappearance. Shortly after, Sam learns about Ingrid’s condition.
Detective Isaac remains fixated on Simon as Aaron’s murderer, unable — or unwilling — to consider alternative suspects.
New information surfaces when Simon and Cornelius confront Rocco at his mother’s house. Rocco reveals that Paige last came to him attempting to buy drugs with no money and appeared beaten — consistent with Cornelius’s earlier account. It’s also revealed that Aaron worked for Rocco as a runner, adding another layer to his involvement in dangerous circles.
The episode also returns to DeeDee and Ash, who are seen killing another man. When a young boy witnesses DeeDee’s face during the aftermath, Ash kills the boy to eliminate the witness. The brutality escalates — and the pattern becomes harder to ignore.
In the final moments, Cornelius receives a call about a woman spotted at Aaron’s apartment. He and Simon rush there, assuming it’s Paige — only to run into Elena, who insists she needs to speak to Paige and asks Simon where she is.
The episode ends with a chilling reveal: DeeDee is seen flipping through photographs, including images of the men killed in Episodes 1 and 2 — and among them are photos of Aaron and Paige.

The biggest questions lingering:
- What is the connection between Paige and Henry?
- Why is Elena keeping part of her investigation hidden from Lou?
Especially if Lou is someone she trusts. - Why does Detective Isaac seem shaken by Cornelius’s involvement?
Is there a personal connection he’s hiding from Ruby? - And most importantly: why are DeeDee and Ash killing these men?
The presence of Paige and Aaron’s photos among DeeDee’s collection strongly suggests they were involved in Aaron’s murder — and raises an even scarier possibility: Paige may also be a target.
This episode does an excellent job of expanding the scope of the story. What initially felt like a missing-person case is clearly part of something much larger, darker, and more calculated.
🌱 Final Thoughts
“Tattoo While You Wait” is a strong follow-up that widens the narrative without losing tension. The episode layers emotional stakes, introduces morally unsettling revelations, and reinforces the idea that nothing — and no one — exists in isolation.
If Episode 1 pulled us in, Episode 2 makes it clear:
this story is dangerous, interconnected, and far from simple.
